Development & design services from a single source

Our development and design department employs engineers, technicians, and engineering draftsmen. In house we have about 15 fully equipped CAD work stations available; however, we also maintain projects on-site at customer premises. All of our employees have worked on a number of large-scale projects and can draw on a considerable wealth of experience. This enables us to provide our customers with support and advice in many technological areas or to undertake entire development stages for them. Furthermore, we closely cooperate with industrial designers and manufacturing companies in Germany and abroad and we are able to ideally adapt our team to your particular requirements. We also provide guidance regarding the construction/installation of prototypes which we also realize on our premises.

Over the last years we were successfully involved in a number of projects relating to the automotive industry, manufacturing equipment technology, consumer goods, medical engineering and scientific research.

From an idea via a production-ready drawing through to a prototype

  • Project planning
    When planning a project we define a time schedule that includes all relevant development steps. On demand we can provide a CV for each employee. For each project we keep minutes of meeting (LOP) in which the current working status is documented. For personal meetings we come to you if you like us to or we discuss this online by means of split screens.
  • Freehand sketches / draft
    You give us a description of your idea and we visualize it by making first freehand sketches.
  • Layout
    For more complex designs, such as major mechanical assemblies, we are able to develop a rough layout to determine the maximum space requirement.
  • Model generation
    We are familiar with simple rotation and discharging methods including also demanding open-die surface geometries. Based on these technologies we create parametric 3D models. Components are then put together to assembly groups and standard as well as purchased parts are added to obtain the desired performance. 
    For control purposes we are able to perform statistical calculations of critical components – if required also by means of our software –, tolerance calculations, installation studies, kinematics (simulation of motion sequences) and collision analyses.
  • Drawing creation and documentation
    Based on the developed 3D models and assembly groups we create drawings that feature all necessary tolerances, form and position tolerances as well as surface specifications. Here we may use our own drawing frames but we will also integrate your templates if requested.
    Based on the assembly groups we define a parts list and adapt it to your particular operational requirements.
  • Supplier inquiries
    On the basis of drawings and models we can submit component requests to suppliers for you. Here we can draw on longstanding partners in the field of metal and plastics processing but on request we will also contact your suppliers.
    From our inquiries we prepare a cost overview from which you may select the appropriate supplier.
  • Orders
    We are also able to place orders for components via our company Degner-Engineering.
  • Assembly of prototypes
    On our premises we have the opportunity to assemble mechanical groups.
  • Measurement
    For quality control purposes we are able to measure components and draw up an analysis.
  • Rendering
    For catalogs or product presentations we are able to generate renderings of your components or assembly groups. For moving components it may result in a rendered video.
  • Full support
    We will be happy to keep supporting you after the prototypes are completed by taking over the drawing and change management for you.
    With our IT a comprehensive data protection is guaranteed.
    If you need or have your data in a different CAD system, we will be able to edit and convert all common neutral formats (STEP/IGES/X_T/DXF/DWG).
    Beyond that we are able to handle projects in various OEM/CAD environments and to ensure our data quality by means of Validat and Q-Checker for Catia.

In addition to that, we are able to perform projects in various OEM/CAD environments and to back up our data quality with Validat and Q-Checker for Catia. Engineering drawings may be obtained up to an endless A0 format and also in paper.
We use a technology that allows us to analyze our constructions thermally and mechanically utilizing simulations of the solid state. Additionally, we are able to simulate and analyze kinematic processes in CAD models.
